Thankfully, the last few Resident Evil remakes were excellent ones, with our review of Resident Evil 3 Remake stil getting a respectable score even if it was super short, and didn’t really offer any major changes like RE2 Remake. Today, we have a couple of new, interesting leaks which reveal more proof that Resident Evil 4 Remake is in deep development. That said, given how much Capcom loves remaking their games, a Resident Evil 4 Remake announcement is just a matter of when.
Mind, nothing here has been confirmed by Capcom, so take it with a grain of salt. As reported by VGC, the seemingly leaked concept art was shared on Twitter (below). Such a current-gen remaster was one of many projects potentially unveiled by a recent hack into Capcom's plans for the next four years, which involve several high-profile sequels and spin-offs to some of its most beloved franchises. The second image shows Douglas forwarding the concept art and mentioning how he can get into hot water for doing so, thus confirming that he knows he shouldn’t be doing it in the first place. Posting on Twitter, noted leaker Dusk Golem said Resident Evil 4 remake spoilers are '100 per cent in the wild.' Confirming our worst fears, they added, 'Be careful on social media and video sharing sites. Fans are getting even more hints that a remake of Resident Evil 4 could be on the way thanks to a recent content leak of 3D model assets. The first shot features concept art given to him by Capcom, shows Wesker as he appears in the Separate Ways of Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Kinda unrelated, but I still have no idea why they didn’t remake Code Veronica before 4 if they’re planning to flesh out Wesker, the areas of Code Veronica (Prison Camp, Palace, Mansion, Antarctica, Hive) along with its monsters remade in the style of 2 has Goat Horror Game potential. Douglas, who voiced Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil franchise, has leaked the game’s existence, all the while knowing he was breaking NDA (non-disclosure agreement) with Capcom. The first images of Resident Evil 4 remake's Ada Wong have already leaked out into the wild, showing off the fan-favorite spy's new get-up. Given how Capcom has remaked each major entry in the Resident Evil franchise, it’s just a matter of time until we get the Resident Evil 4 Remake that everyone’s looking forward to, no?
